Animals

All animals have one thing common - they eat other living things, either plants, animal, or both.
Also almost all, except a few sea animals, can move around.

What is a vertebrate?

Most of the large animals in the world are vertebrates. This means that they have a backbone, and most are made up of bones put together to make skeleton. Mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish are all vertebrates.

What is an invertebrate?

The word invertebrate simply means not having a backbone. The "creepy crawly" selection of this book is made up of the animal called invertebrates. some of then have on the outside of their bodies, some don't have bones at all.

The Living World Nature surrounds us in the form of the living world, a world made up of living things. It is an amazing world. Plants  From the tinist flower to the to the largest tree, there are an immense varity of plants. Scientists belive there are about 400,000 species, but it may be many more. Know about the poles? The Arctic? The Antarctic? Ice does float or not? Land of midnight sun? Blog by Bismuth Blogs Company.

The Poles Earth's polar regions are harsh habitats. The land animals here are warm blooded, which means they keep their body at a constant temperature that is higher than that of their surroundings.  The Arctic The Arctic lies around the North pole, with most of the region taken up by the Arctic Ocean. Large sheet of ice cover much of the Arctic Ocean. The Antarctic The South Pole is in the middle of a continent: Antarctica. Ninety-eight per cent of Antarctica is covered by ice. Ice does float! Icebergs are huge pieces of floating ice, but what you see is really just tip of an iceberg. This makes them very dangerous to ships. Land of midnight sun Polar regions stay light for 24 hours a day in summer, but they remain cloakad in darkness in winter. This is because of Earth's orbit around the sun.
